A beginner East Coast Swing lesson is held from 8-9pm before every dance. The cost of the lesson and the dance is $7.00 (cash only please).
Workshops are $12.00 and include the price of the dance.
Workshops are generally held from 6-8pm once a month, and cover all types of swing dancing, including Charleston, Balboa, Shag, and Lindy Hop.
Denton Swingout is a
social dance and we do not allow aerials or low dips for safety reasons. If you are interested in becoming more involved, see our contact page for volunteer information. Come on out and dance with us!

What is Swing Dancing?

Swing dancing is a group of dances that developed in the 1920's, 30's and 40's. These dances were originally done to swing jazz music, which has a syncopated rhythm.
Swing dancing experienced a revival in the 1980's and 90's and is a fun way to stay active and to socialize. Swing dancing is enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds around the world today.
